Birds of a Feather

Birds of a feather flock together. Well they are all flocking to the art room for a simple bird project. I pinned a picture on Pinterest that was a picture from Artsonia. Then that led me to a display from Denton, TX. The Texas birds were adorable but I had to put my own twist to ours. Here is the quick and dirty on the procedures I used for this first grade project.
1) Cut out a large circle and fold in half both horizontally and vertically. Then cut our 1/4 to make the tail and wing.

You may cut the 1/4 piece one or two more times to make a different look for the tail and wing (see above picture). Then draw, cut and glue any additional parts you would like to add to the picture using scraps from our recycle box.
We had a lot of nest, branches and eggs. Some students went all out and added leaves, flowers and even a hat!
