X Ray Hands

My 4th graders love to make this project. They saw it last year when the kids did them and now it was finally their turn!  Chalk pastels with a little pit of blending. Then the glow around the hands. Too fun

I always show lots of x-ray pictures from a slide show and we learned the names of the finger bones (Phalanges) and the Metacarpal bones on the back of your hands. I adapted this from the Art Connections Science edition.

  1. I can't believe I'm leaving the first comment! I think this lesson is so cool! I would have loved it for Halloween, but I'll have to squeeze it in somewhere somehow. I'm sure the kids will love it.

  2. Awesome project, is there a video to show the students? I can't wait to finish them and hang them up in late September. Thanks for sharing.
