Well Winter Break is finally officially here. No school until January 3rd. Short because we started late (for the Midwest) and we don’t want to go later in June.
Anyway I just couldn’t let my 1st graders take home their Gingerbread People yet. They are too cute.
As I have said before and undoubtedly will say again, “These didn’t turn out like imagined. They turned out better!” I had a boring idea of cute little gingerbread boys and girls with white icing and maybe a few buttons and bows. But wow we really got into the

I totally busted out the gingerbread people the last day of school too! They had a blast especially when the glitter fairy came. . . my wings got a little tired after 60 kindergarteners but a good time was had by all. Yours are totally adorable with the white icing!
ReplyDeleteMy 1st graders also made gingerbread people, but we painted ours, the day before the last day of school, so they would be dry to take home before vacation. I have a drying rack with doors, so I told them it was the oven, and the cookies had to bake. The next day, they asked me if there were any more cookies baking in my oven! So cute.
