I saw this project on a
Painted Paper blog. She has the most amazing painting results when she does painting with her students. I was planning on doing it pretty much like she had her students, but I walked in the second morning of the lesson and had an inspiration!

Last year the kids had a lot of fun with pastels and creating a variegated sky. So I thought I'd add a little to our backgrounds before we cut and glued the collages. Our painted paper was ready but could wait. I'm glad we did. It added a great little touch to our final product.
By the way I forgot to say these were 3rd graders.
Peace-
