Plate Weaving

Here is another of my all time favorite lessons. It has the same basic premise as the cup with an odd number of tabs(19) to weave over. Then when they are done they can draw an initial or a picture on another piece of paper and glue it to the center.

If time allows coloring the outside edge is a nice touch also.
In the past I have incorporated this with all kinds and types of heritage. People all over the world devised some form of weaving in the past. You can change the theme of the picture in the center to go along with whoever you are studying.
