Last year I pulled out one of my "oldie but goodies" lesson plan. I had my 4th graders use older erasers to stamp designs for castles. Any side of the eraser is fair game. We just used a black crayola marker to color the side and then stamped several times before reloading more ink.
We finished the picture by adding details and background. Not too shabby castles!
